James D. Shelley

 


James D. Shelley, 75, died Saturday, May 18, 2019, at his home in Oakesdale.

Born Aug. 14, 1943, at Tacoma, to John P. and Lara Bell Shelley, he was raised in Seattle and attended Pacific School. Mr. Shelley worked in the Seattle area as an auto mechanic all of his adult life. James had been married and divorced. He moved to Oakesdale to live near his sister two years ago.

Mr. Shelley enjoyed fishing, especially river fishing. He loved animals, especially horses, cats and dogs.

Survivors include his two children, Jeffrey Shelley and Melody Shelley, Yakima; brother, Frank Shelley, Kenmore; sisters Arlone Simonson, Snohomish, and Edna Lindsay, Oakesdale; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

At his request, no services will be held. Kramer Funeral Home of Tekoa is handling the arrangements.
