Tapestry ensemble slates three concerts

Tapestry Women’s Vocal Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m. May 10 at the First Presbyterian Church in Moscow, 405 S. Van Buren St. Admittance is by donation.
Concerts following that will be May 11 at the St. James Episcopal Church in Pullman, 1410 NE Stadium Way, and the concluding concert May 13 at the Colfax United Methodist Church, 109 S. Mill St. Both performances will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Tapestry reunited last winter after a six-year hiatus. Liza Dailey of Colfax took up the task of directing with Charla Windley of Moscow, Idaho, accompanying on the piano.
During December, Tapestry performed short programs in the Colfax area. After adding two new voices, the group is now ready to perform a full performance with 10 musical numbers.
Many members of the group sang with the original Tapestry group directed by Dale Forrey which began in 1999. In 2012, the group dissolved with the loss of its director and pianist.
Members of the 2019 Tapestry group are Linda Hennigar, Ana Maria Sears, Marlene Michael, Mary Chastain, Shirlene Young, Bonnie Brumley, Erica Anderson, Lavonne Hall, Debbie Wolfe and Diane Monson. Members rehearse once a week in Colfax.
