Pankey tops golfers at DP

Davenport’s Kristoff Pankey booked a par 72 Monday at Deer Park to win the district golf round. Bennett Gray of Colfax finished fifth with a 78, and Augie Allenbach finished sixth with an 81.

Both Colfax seniors are off their normal games because they are competing with back and shoulder problems.

Cassidi Shindler placed third on the girls side at Deer Park with a score of 103.

Coach Bill Chandler said the team marked a gain this week because the Colfax Golf Course officially opened for play and practice Saturday.
