The conductor: Jason Ransdall of Wellens Farwell Construction of Enterprise, Ore., stands in his trailer office outside Colfax Junior-Senior High School. Ransdall is the superintendent of the school's bond-funded remodeling project, now in phase one on the south end of the building and auditorium. Asbestos removal was completed this week.

DAVIS SENT TO STATE PRISON

Jason Davis, 35, the Pullman resident who was convicted of five charges in two consecutive trials last week in superior court, was sentenced to 57 months in prison Monday by Superior Court Judge Gary Libey.
