Seeks funds for Latvia cancer treatment

An account has been set up to support Marty Walker of Colfax, who is battling cancer and plans to make a trip to Latvia for a treatment which has not been sanctioned in the United States.

Walker was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic melanoma in a cancer battle which started in May of 2017 with a checkup of a spot on his ear and evolved into two surgeries. It was described as a radical neck dissection.

The typical life span of a patient with his diagnosis is just more than 12 months. The survival rate after four years is 28 percent.
