Election ballots hit the mail

Ballots will be mailed out in Friday's mail for the April 23 special election. Number of ballots sent in the mail was 14,932, with most of those going to voters in Pullman which is Public Hospital District 1-A.

Voters in the district will decide Pullman Regional Hospital's proposal for a levy to finance a $29 million bond issue with the bonds maturing over 30 years.

The estimated tax rate is $1 per $1,000 of assessed valuation.
