Herbert M. Brimble

Church services for Herbert M. Brimble, 90, were Tuesday, April 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tekoa.

Mr. Brimble died March 21.

Born near the town of Henderson in Rusk County, Texas, he served in World War II and in Korea in both the Navy and the Army. He received training for electrical work and aviation and advanced training in aviation through the Navy.

In his civilian life, he received additional training in mechanical engineering at the University of Houston Technical School of Mechanics.

He worked for General Motors, Clark Equipment, Cooper Bessemer and Pyramid Derrick.

He and Edwina Phillips were married in 1955. She died in 1998.

Survivors include a son, James Brimble, Central Point, Ore .; a daughter, Lynette Brimble of Houston, Texas, and a grandson.

Memorials donations can be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
