Frank P. Walker

A memorial service for Frank P. Walker, 76, Viola, will be Saturday, March 30, at 11 a.m., at the Church of the Nazarene, Princeton, Idaho, with the Revs. Kathy Kramer and Ken Stinson officiating. Urn burial will be in the Freeze Cemetery at Potlatch.

Mr. Walker died Saturday, March 16, 2019, at his Viola home.

Born March 9, 1943, at Potlatch, to Walter and Velda (Starner) Walker, he attended the Potlatch schools and graduated from Potlatch High School in 1961.

He worked for Hugo Walser for 12 years and started farming on his own and raising cattle on the Walker land from 1972 until he retired in 1990.

He worked at the University of Idaho at the vets science farm and retired in 2005 after 15 years.

He married Dorris King Landauer Sept. 29, 2000, at Potlatch, and the couple made their home at Viola.

Frank was a member of the Potlatch Lion's Club and served two terms as Zone Chairman, member of the NRA, a 40-year member of the Latah County Soil Conservation District and served on the board of directors for several years and a member of the Kennedy Ford Grange.

Surviving are his wife, Dorris Walker, Viola; two step-sons, Murray Landauer, Chehalis, and Tom Tessman, Newberg, Ore .; three step-daughters, Carol Tessman, Newberg; Deana Tessman, Driggs, Idaho, and Shari Tessman, Spokane; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the Potlatch Ambulance Fund, Box 63, Potlatch, ID 83855.
