NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Whitman County, Mark Storey, 310 N Main St Colfax, WA 99111, is seeking coverage wider the Washington State Department of Ecology's Construction Stormwater NPDES and State Waste Discharge General Permit.

The proposed project, Almota Road, is located on County Road No. 8000 from milepost 7.96 to milepost 11.56, approximately 7 miles south of Colfax, Washington in Whitman County.

This project involves 58.22 acres of soil disturbance for Highway or Road construction activities. The receiving waterbodies are Union Flat Creek, Penawawa Creek and Roadside Ditches.

Any persons desiring to present their views to the Washington State Department of Ecology regarding this application, or interested in Ecology's action on this application, may notify Ecology in writing no later than 30 days of the last date of publication of this notice. The Whitman County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing will be held by the Whitman County Board of Commissioners in their Chambers, Whitman County Courthouse, Colfax, Washington on Monday, April 1, 2019, at 10:30 a.m.

$99,106 is proposed to be available annually to Whitman County and the Community Action Center to fund public services that principally benefit low-and moderate income persons in Whitman County.
