CLUBS & YOUTH GROUPS

Athenaeum Club

Athenaeum Club's topic March 15 featured the Channel Islands National Park which consists of five ecologically rich islands off the coast of southern California.

Lynne Bruya had researched information on the park and presented intriguing information about its geology, including 200-foot-long caves which can be closely explored using kayaks. Camping, hiking and sailing are all ways visitors choose to learn about these islands when they visit.

The meeting was hosted by Marilyn Harder at the Methodist Church. Marilyn found many creative ways to use the color green to celebrate spring and St. Patrick’s Day.

Next meeting will be April 5.
