Funeral services for Janis C. Morigeau, 70, will be today, Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019, at 1 p.m. at the Grace Community Church in Potlatch, Idaho, with Pastor Jaynan Clark officiating. Burial will follow at the Mendenhall Cemetery. Mrs. Morigeau passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at her mother's home in Harvard.

Born March 25, 1948, at Colfax, to Jewels and Medine Gilmore Leef, she was raised in the Princeton – Harvard area, attended Potlatch Schools, and graduated from Potlatch High School in 1966. She attended the University of Idaho where she studied art education.

Janis married Michael Morigeau Nov. 25, 1985, at Moscow. The couple lived in Moscow, the Yakima area, and Plummer, Idaho, and settled in the Spokane Valley where they made their home since 1999.

Janis enjoyed sewing and teaching those skills to numerous young people throughout the years.

Survivors include her husband, Michael, at the Spokane Valley home; her brother, Charles Leef of Princeton, Idaho; her mother, Medine Leef of Harvard, Idaho; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial gifts may be given to the Huntsman Cancer Institute, 2000 Circle of Hope, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84112.
