is requesting any persons in Whitman County wishing to designate a portion of a Whitman County Road right-of-way as a “NO-SPRAY” area, please contact the Public Works Office at (509) 397-5200 for information and agreement applications. Verification and confirmation of all existing “NO-SPRAY” areas is necessary. Failure to confirm your “NO-SPRAY” area may result in that area being treated with residual and noxious chemicals. Please apply by March 1, 2019 for residual and noxious weed control on all roads, gravel and paved.

PUBLIC HEARING

TOWN OF ROSALIA

2019 WATER/SEWER IMPROVEMENTS

WHITMAN COUNTY, WASHINGTON

INVITATION FOR BIDS

Sealed bids for the Town of Rosalia 2019 Water/Sewer Improvements project, will be received at the Town of Rosalia, Town Hall, 110 W. Fifth St.,

Rosalia, WA 99170 until 10:00 a.m., February 28, 2019, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read.

Base Bid: The project generally consists of work to install new water main and service connections on Fairview Ave. from 4th Street to 8th Street, telemetry upgrades at the reservoir, and related items of work.

Additive Alternate 1: Continues water line work on Fairview Avenue to 9th Street, then down 9th Street to the intersection at Josephine Avenue. It also consists of removing and replacing a manhole and associated sewer pipe.

Additive Alternate 2: Additive Alternate 2 consists of work to install new sewer main, lateral connections, manhole replacement, new water main, and associated work on 1st Street from Whitman Avenue to Summit Avenue.

All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the

prevailing state or federal wage rates.

This project is funded through the State Commerce Community

Development Block Grant program with federal funds from the

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Award of the construction contract is contingent upon approval by the funding agency.
