Residents urged to run water

Colfax Public Works Director Matt Hammer urged residents to allow a small dribble of water to run to keep the system running. Hammer said the water should be allowed to run any time temperatures drop below 10 degrees.

Hammer noted downtown businesses which will be closed over the weekend are especially advised to run the water to keep supply pipes from freezing while the water stands idle in the pipes during the cold spell....
