Lowell Lee Garrett

A memorial service for Lowell Lee Garrett, 77, long-time resident of the LaCrosse area, will be Saturday, Feb. 23, at noon at the LaCrosse Community Club, 409 S. Main St., with a potluck reception to follow. Mr. Garrett died at his home Jan. 27, 2019.

Born June 18, 1941, in Kellogg, Idaho, to Calvin and Agnes Lase Garrett, he moved with his family to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where he grew up with two younger brothers. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He also worked hard in various jobs, including as a truck driver and doing scrap metal salvage.

He had lived in the LaCrosse area for more than 20 years and worked at Boyer Park and as a maintenance man for the town of LaCrosse.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharon Lee Amos, and his second wife, Muriel Grace Garrett.

Surviving are three children, Lorena Clark of Coeur d’Alene, Shawn Garrett of Spirit Lake, Idaho, and Robert Amos, Athol, Idaho; 12 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers; Carl of Shelton, and Steve of Middletown, Idaho. http://www.bruningfuneralhome.com
