One hundred people gathered in the schoolhouse at Diamond Friday evening last to listen to an address by Herman Kaminsky on “The Discovery of America and the Jews.” The lecture was of nearly an hours' duration and was listened to with the deepest attention by an appreciative audience. At its conclusion, a vote of thanks was unanimously tendered to Mr. Kaminsky. In addition to the lectures there were vocal solos by Thomas Dobbins and choruses by the Diamond glee club; and recitations by the Miss Bedie East and Misses Lizzie, Claude and Maud Wood.
