Doctors threat misdemeanor conviction

Johnathan Bain, 47, Potlatch, pleaded guilty in superior court Friday morning to a reduced charge of misdemeanor harassment and was sentenced 364 days in jail with all but seven days suspended. He was credited with the seven days spent in jail after his arrest.

Bain was charged with making threats Oct. 31 against a physician at Pullman Family Medicine. The charge alleged Bain was upset because a claim he filed with the Department of Labor and Industries had been denied.

The alleged threat had been relayed to the medical office by an L & I department representative.
