Dale Morlan

Dale Morlan, age 71, died on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018, at home. At his request, a memorial service will not be conducted.

Born in Bartlesville, Okla., April 24, 1947, to John and Patricia (Robinson) Morlan, he grew up in Oklahoma, Texas and California. He graduated from San Marcus High School in Santa Barbara, Calif. In high school, he participated in track, especially pole vaulting. He also enjoyed baseball, bowling and surfing.

He married his high school sweetheart, Teresa A. Bryant, June 10, 1966, in Santa Barbara, Calif., and they made their home in Kent and Enumclaw until they moved to Idaho in 1994 and made their home south of DeSmet.

He worked as a truck driver until he became a paraplegic at the age of 42. After that he enjoyed his mini-farm where he raised cattle and many other animals.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing in the pond on his property. He recently was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of traveling to Hawaii.

He was a long-time member of the Tensed Community Church.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Teresa, a daughter, Shelley (Mike) Sharpe of Post Falls, Idaho; two sons, Michael Morlan, Post Falls, and Daniel (Brandy) Morlan, Priest River; a sister, Donna Matthews, Bakersville, Calif .; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
