Donna Jean Repp

A memorial service for Donna Jean Repp, 67, who resided in Colfax for 25 years and raised her family here, was Dec. 1 at Calvary Baptist Church, Aberdeen, S.D., with Pastor Vernon Dalstein officiating.

She died of cancer Nov. 12, 2018, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital.

Born June 13, 1951, in Aberdeen, S.D., to Forrest and Bonnie Jean (Dennert) James, she graduated from high school in Hecla, S.D., with the class of 1969. After attending Stewart's Hairstyling School she moved to Washington State where she met Bruce Repp. They were married June 16, 1973, in Spokane .

They raised their family in Colfax and returned to South Dakota in 1997. She worked in the service industry and retired from McDonald's approximately two years ago due to poor health. She had a great love for animals and had many dogs and cats throughout her life.

Surviving are her husband, Bruce Repp, Aberdeen; children, Jason (Leslie) Repp of Aberdeen, Michael (Erin) Repp of St. Augustine, Fla., and Elizabeth Seitz of Aberdeen; six grandchildren, and one step-grandson.
