Tekoa's John Jaeger resigns after eleven years as mayor

John Jaeger resigned Oct. 31 after 11 years as Tekoa mayor.

The city council has 90 days to appoint a successor. Troy Wilson is now the acting mayor as mayor pro-tem.

Jaeger was elected to his third term in 2016. Never opposed in election, he first took office in 2007 followimg the resignation of Richard Weatherly. Jaeger had been on the city council for one year.
