Webbs celebrate 50 years of Empire Foods in St. John

Marilyn Webb and her son, Rick Webb, celebrated the 50th year of Webb's Empire Foods at St. John with a hot dog barbecue, prizes and visiting with long-time customers. Marilyn and her late husband, Bruce Webb, started the business in the Fraternity Building in St. John in October of 1968. Mike Webb, oldest son of Marilyn and Bruce, joined his mother in the business during his father's illness and has remained. One family member who also assisted was Marilyn's twin sister, Carolyn Hattemer, who worked at the store for 30 years.
