October 18, 2018

Homestead Ministries’ first event of the year was Friday at Logos Christian School in Moscow. With the help of 450 students plus some adults, their goal of assembling 10,000 soup mixes was met. The packets will be distributed from Spokane south to Riggins, Idaho.

Locals who volunteered for the event included Tom and Doreen Riedner, Greg Nolan, Bob and Norma Schultz, Steve Gerlitz, Chuck and Sharon Lyman, Jon Webber, Brian Largent, Gary Largent, Larry and Linda Fry of California/Whitman County, Dan and Lorna Druffel, Amanda Druffel, Jack Flack, Diane Monson, Sally Morris, Peggy Zaring and Pastor Steve Szasz

Huber Freight and Terry Huber provided the use of their truck.

The next soup assembly will be in Meridian, Idaho, for another 10,000 bagging event.

A group of women from the Endicott Bible Church had a get-together weekend at the Parsonage Bed and Breakfast. Four of the women stayed from Friday until Sunday. Others joined them on Saturday for the day. Debbie Wolfe was the organizer of the event.

Reuben Stueckle, Puyallup, was a visitor at the home of his brother David Stueckle Sunday and Monday. He had been in Spokane for the 60-year reunion of his graduating class from Whitworth.
