Hike set for former rail line

This eastbound Milwaukee Road freight train is crossing the concrete bridges at Rosalia which will be the site of a hike Saturday on what is now the Palouse to Cascades Trail. The hike will begin at 2:30 p.m. where the trail crossed the Malden-Pine City Road just west of the intersection with Old Highway 195. The Rosalia event will start with talks on area railroad lore beginning at 1 p.m. in the Rosalia Community Center on W. 7th Street.
