Artist reception for Stanard

A reception for Colfax artist Robin Stanard will be Saturday, Sept. 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Center at the Colfax library. Stanard's replica oil paintings are now on display at The Center and will be in place until Oct. 17.

Stanard was raised in Colfax and worked in his family's carpentry business. He is a self-taught artist and about three years ago his daughters gave him watercolors and color pencils for Fathers' Day. He began a journey into the works of 20th century artists and was inspired to replicate their work.
