Helicopter transfer follows aqua spill

A 49-year- old Lewiston man was flown to St. Joseph’s Regional Hospital after he was exposed to Aqua Ammonia Tuesday morning while transferring a load from a truck to a farm approximately a mile west of Albion.
Sheriff Brett Myers said the injured person is a field technician for a local ag chemical delivery company. The ammonia was being transferred from the delivery tank to a local farm holding tank.
Based on the type of exposure and the seriousness of the injuries, EMS responders immediately requested assistance from Life Flight.
