3-D printer bought: Library awarded grant to expand tech classes

Whitman County Library has received a $15,000 grant from the Innovia Foundation to be used to expand technology classes for all-ages at branch libraries and schools.

The grant was announced at the end of May and since then the Colfax library has bought a 3-D printer, seven Snap-Circuits kits, eight Little Bits kits, six iPads for technology classes at The Center and committed to added hours for staff to lead classes.

On Oct. 4, for First Thursday, the library will show its 3-D printer, making samples.
