Building project eyed at waste transfer station

A plan for a new modular building at the Whitman County Waste Transfer Station may come into play this year instead of next year, or the year after, depending on funding and the decision by county Public Works Director Mark Storey.

He presented the notion to county commissioners Monday for later input as he decides whether it may fit into the 2018 budget.

“The busiest part of the year is starting to get behind us,” Storey reported.
