I am a 70-year old retired woman. After earning a BSc. in Biochemistry from Washington State University in 1970, I spent 45 years as a research technician/lab manager at universities around the country, including WSU and the University of Idaho. I was politically active during my time as a student at WSU (think Vietnam, Nixon and Cambodia), but then, as they say, “Life happened.” The country was basically running along OK, so my activism scaled back to regularly voting.
