Dick and Helen Appel hosted the Troop 400 Boy Scouts from Spokane Valley for an overnight planning meeting. Charlie Appel, Dick and Helen’s grandson, is the patrol leader for the next six months. Approximately 18 scouts and adults attended, including Bruce and Spenser Appel. In addition to meetings, they enjoyed exploring the farm, especially seeing lambs born Saturday morning.

Doreen Riedner traveled to Tacoma Thursday afternoon to spend the weekend with her sister, Denise Kendall. Riedner spent Friday with her sister’s second grade classroom in University Place School District. Riedner returned home Monday afternoon.

Fifteen Washington Flying Farmers gathered at the home of Art and Colene Sager Saturday for a meeting, potluck lunch and visiting. The following day, the Sagers flew to Richland to visit Jack and Gayle Heaton.
