Sam and Josie Roskin, Seattle, arrived Wednesday, April 12, to spend a couple of days with the Dale Broeckel family. Dale and Kimberly Gustafson joined them for breakfast at The Parsonage Bed and Breakfast Friday. They took a drive to Starbuck and the Lyons Ferry area where they viewed the site of the Columbia Pulp operation. The facility, located on a 449 acre site, is purchasing straw from a radius of 75 miles to produce paper products. It is expected to be running by the fourth quarter of 2018.

Joseph and Marcia First stayed at The Parsonage B & B Saturday before returning to their home in Randle Sunday. They were here to celebrate the 95th birthday of Marcia’s mother, Ruth Dorman, former resident of LaCrosse. All five daughters and family members gathered at Bishop Place in Pullman Saturday evening where Ruth currently resides. Others attending were Gail Seymore and her husband Steve, Vancouver, Wash.; Nancy Shank and daughter Becky, Wenatchee; Glenda Thie and her husband Brian and sons Creed and Conal, Moscow, and Joyce Christie, Spokane.

Steve Camp took his mother, Donna Camp, Spokane Valley, to Montana Sunday and Monday for a short visit with a nephew.

Di Brink and Joan Myrick visited their cousin, Camille Patterson, Spokane Valley, over the weekend. They went to the open house at the Plant Farm in Spokane Valley.

Kim and Cindy Pitts helped their daughter, Amanda, celebrate her birthday Sunday in Spokane. Other attendees included Amanda’s husband, Erik; children Rafe and Tate, and her grandfather, Norm Bafus of LaCrosse.
