Self publishing class coming to the library

K.S. Brooks, award-winning novelist and author of 22 books will present a class, "Introduction to Self-Publishing," Wednesday, Feb. 7, from 2-4 p.m. at the Colfax library. Cost is only $9, and early registration is required to avoid cancellation of the class. Contact any library branch of Community Colleges of Spokane ACT2 programming at 509-279-6030.

The two-hour class covers everything from producing a quality book, to ways to avoid getting scammed by predatory publishers, and how to maintain control over your finished product.

Brooks is the creator of the Mr. Pish educational children’s book series, as well as the Agent Night suspense series. Brooks founded Indie Authors for Hurricane Sandy Library Recovery, which provides brand new books to libraries in need at no cost.
