Pullman Civic Theatre starts

Pop Up plays

Pullman Civic Theatre (PCT) has launched a new series entitled Pop Up Productions. Each season PCT will produce a small-scale production that it will take on the road to various locations on the Palouse. They will also be collaborating with area theatre companies for some of the performances.

This season PCT will present Driving Miss Daisy by Alfred Uhry, winner of the 1988 Pulitzer Prize and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Play.

The first performances of Driving Miss Daisy will be at Rico’s Public House Feb. 3 at 5:30 p.m. and Feb. 4 at 12:30 p.m.

WSU retirees

Marty Lees, WSU Cougar head baseball coach, was the guest speaker at the WSU Retirees Association’s monthly meeting Tuesday at the Pullman Senior Center.

Lees is in his third year heading up Cougar baseball at Bailey-Brayton baseball complex.

WSU Retirees Association sessions are open to the public and local residents are encouraged to attend, according to Dan Coonrad, president. Refreshments are served at each meeting.

Bond, Monroe David, born Jan. 16 at eight pounds, two ounces, to Kyle and Whitney Bond, Colfax. Maternal grandparents are Jon and Gwinn Wyscaver, Roseburg, Ore. Baby joins sisters Adisyn and Kali.
