African Serval visits Oakesdale Library

Boomer, the African Serval cat and his owner, Anya Spielberg, made a special appearance at the Oakesdale Library on Nov. 13. Twenty-eight cat lovers learned about serval cats and also, most importantly, Boomer and Anya’s unique bond. Anya also brought CheyChey, an adult savannah, and two savannah kittens. She explained how savannah cats are offspring of a serval mated with a domestic cat. Since Boomer is not a touch animal, this gave the audience a chance to be able to interact with a majestic feline.
