LaCrosse FFA team wins state soils title

LaCrosse FFA soils judging team won the state title last week. This qualifies a team of four to compete at the nationals at Oklahoma in May.

Team members were Allyn Harder, T.J. Harder, Jadyn Guske, Ty Harder, Trey Fleming, Lauren Stubbs and Autumn Meyer as the alternate.

Allyn Harder was high scoring individual. TJ Harder placed was third high and Jadyn Guske placed ninth.

Winners of the LaCrosse Halloween Costume contest were: Infant-2 - Lennyn Startin, dressed as a baby owl; 3-5 - Brynnlee Wadell, bumble bee; 6-8 - Rowdie Broeckel, as "Uma"; 9-11 - Ellie Pearson, also a bee; 12- Adults - Jade Burns, as a witch

LaCrosse Business Association served between 85 and 100 people at the chili feed.

The date for the annual LaCrosse community turkey dinner has been changed to Wednesday, Nov. 15, with Leila Zaring as chairperson. The dinner remains as one of the longest-running community traditions going back more than 90 years.
