Armond Hall

A memorial service for Elizabeth Louise Clark, 89, Pullman, will be Friday, July 14, at 1 p.m. at the Community Congregational United Church of Christ, 525 NE Campus St., Pullman. Vault interment will proceed the service at the Pullman Cemetery.

Mrs. Clark died July 9, 2017, at home in Pullman.

Born in Dayton, June 20, 1928, to Everett M. and Louise Ott Webb, she moved with her family to Fairfield where Betty spent her early school years. They moved to Pullman in 1936, and she graduated from Pullman High School in 1946. She attended Washington State College where she earned a degree in elementary education in 1950.

While attending Pullman High School, she met D. Girard Clark, Sr. They were married Dec. 16, 1948, at the Greystone Presbyterian Church in Pullman. They farmed in the Pullman area and were very involved in the community. Both enjoyed traveling extensively.

She was very active in many organizations, including P.E.O. where she served as the State President in 1981, the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and the Presbyterian Church. She was a lifelong Cougar, supporting the university and attending athletic events for more than 70 years.

After Mr. Clark died in 2007, Betty married Bob Nilan Nov. 7, 2009. Mr. Nilan died in 2015.

Surviving are her four children on the family farm, Girard Jr. (Debbie), Asa (Frances), Jane (Marc) Stewart, and Mark (Julie); 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral services for Armond E. Hall, 89, longtime resident of Potlatch, was Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at the Princeton Church of the Nazarene with burial following at the Potlatch City Cemetery. Mr. Hall died July 8, 2017, at Pullman Regional Hospital.

Born March 22, 1928, in Brainerd, Minn., to William and Ellen Hedquist Hall, he grew up in Brainerd and went to work at an early age as a heavy equipment mechanic. He and Arlene Cain were married in Minnesota, and they moved to Puyallup and then to Delta Junction, Alaska.

After Arlene died in the late 1990s, Armond met Margie McKinney and they were married at Coeur d’ Alene. They were members of the Good Sam RV Club and spent winters in Parker, Ariz. Armond also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

They moved to Whitman Senior Living at Pullman in September of 2016.

Surviving are his wife, Margie, Pullman; daughters Kathy Neely of Palmer, Alaska, and Lori Meek of Delta Junction, Alaska; step-children Kimball (Debbie) Fehrs of Libby, Mont., and Linda (Alan) Huvland, Pasco, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a son, Lonni.
