Distracted driving law cracks down on devices

Holding an electronic device to answer a call or read a message could cost drivers even more. The “Dangerously Distracted Driving Law” goes into effect July 23, instituting fines for those driving while holding an electronic device.

“I think it is a valuable law,” said Sheriff Brett Myers. He pointed out there are already laws on the books that cover the offenses, but “laws like this help remind us.”
