BOARD OF EQUALIZATION

Notice is hereby given that the 2017 County Board of Equalization will convene on July 17, 2017 at 2:30 p.m.

and continue in session on July 24, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.

and August 7, 2017 at 11:30 a.m.

in the Whitman County Commissioners’ Chambers, 400 N. Main Street, Colfax, Washington.

The Board may adjourn from time to time for a period of not less than three (3) days, and not to exceed twenty-eight (28) days.

Additional meetings may be held at other times as required to publicly examine and equalize the assessments extended in the current year on the taxable property of said county, for taxes to be levied in the year 2018, and to correct all errors in valuation, description or qualities of property assessed by the assessor.

The owner or agent of any taxable property who feels there are inequities in their assessment or exemptions may file a petition and appear before the board at the time and place appointed.

that a public hearing will be held by the Town of LaCrosse in the council chambers, 107 S Main, LaCrosse, WA 99143, on Thursday, May 11th at 7:00 PM.

The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from lower income persons.

Up to $24,000 may be available to the Town of LaCrosse on a statewide competitive basis to fund public facility, community facility, economic development, planning and affordable housing projects that principally benefit low- and moderate-income persons.

Public Hearing

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Town Council in the Rosalia Public Library (north door at rear of building), on May 23, 2017 starting at 7:30 P.M. The discussion will also include long term improvements for the water and sewer infrastructure, identifying the areas where repair and infrastructure replacement is needed the most.
