Thursday, April 13

Colton – 6 p.m. – Book Club – This month we are discussing the book “The Full Cupboard of Life” by Alexander McCall Smith. Everyone is welcome.

Friday, April 14

All 14 branches – WCL’s annual Penny Drive runs April 9 through April 26 at all 14 branches. Bring your change into the library you use most and donations will go to fund their library programs.

Saturday, April 15

Oakesdale – 5 p.m. – BINGO and Pie – Enjoy an evening out with friends. Join us if you are feeling lucky.

Sunday, April 16

All 14 branches of Whitman County Library will be closed Sunday, April 16. Our downloadable eBooks and audiobooks are always available 24/7 on our Overdrive App – all you need is your library card.

Monday, April 17

Rosalia – 3:30 p.m. – Teen Advisory Council – Students, grades 6 to 12, become a part of teen planning in Rosalia.

Colfax – 4 p.m. – WCL Board Meeting – Board of Trustees typically meets the third Monday of each month. Meetings are open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend.

Tuesday, April 18

Colfax – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Seed Library Open House – Come learn about how our Seed Library allows you to borrow, harvest and share, all for free. Come get your gardening started today.

Colfax TEK Center – Noon to 1 p.m. – Tech. Tuesday: Rural Heritage – Have you ever wondered what life in Whitman County looked like 50 years ago? 100 years ago? Everyone is invited for an overview of our Rural Heritage program and to learn how to explore the history of our community.

Palouse – 4 p.m. – Turkey Leg Book Release and Meet the Author – 10-year-old Elvis Gregg is having a birthday party at the library and will be displaying the books he has written. This is also our Turkey Leg book release. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Wednesday, April 19

Colton – 5:30 p.m. – Social Security and Medicare – FREE Retirement Seminar. Topics include filing for Social Security, retirement income, Medicare and more. Please RSVP with Zach at 509-332-2543 or Zrobinson@wradvisors.com

Tekoa – 6 to 8 p.m. – Guiding Good Choices Teen Parenting Workshop Series – Free for all teen and pre-teen parents, sponsored by the Healthy Tekoa Coalition and DBHR. Please register by calling 284-3121 or with any questions. Snacks provided.

Thursday, April 20

Tekoa – 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – Incredible Years: Elementary Parenting Class – Six workshops for parents of children 2 to 8. Teaches academic and persistence coaching, emotional regulation, directed play, and more. Sponsored by the Healthy Tekoa Coalition and DBHR. Snacks and babysitting provided.

Colfax – 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. – WSU Raptor Program – EVERYONE IS INVITED. This after school science program is most suited for children ages three to adult. JES students may ride bus 8 from the school to the library with a parental note. Fun, science and snacks included.

Colton – 5:30 p.m. – Community Disaster Preparedness – Red Cross Americorps presents this class designed to prepare households for natural disaster.

Endicott – 7 p.m. – Ladies Night – We will be discussing the novel “The Book of Time” by Guillaume Prevost. ALL AGES WELCOME. Feel free to bring a snack to share.
