Rosalia

blood drive

Inland Northwest Blood Center, along with Rosalia volunteers led by Leslie Gunnels, will coordinate a blood drive at Rosalia High School Monday, April 17, from 10 a.m until 1 p.m. Contact Jennifer Zimmerman for more information. 509-847-8792.

Garfield

Senior Meal

The next Garfield Senior Meal will be April 20 at noon in the Garfield American Legion Hall. The menu will be tuna casserole, mixed fruit salad, green salad with dressing, garlic bread, dessert, punch and coffee.

Library closure

Colfax branch of Whitman County Library will close on Sunday, April 16, for Easter. Due dates for library materials have been extended in anticipation of the closure, and no late fines will be charged for this day. Drop boxes will remain open at all 14 countywide locations for returned items.

RTOP slates

summer shows

Regional Theatre of the Palouse at Pullman is now enrolling students for summer productions. Performances planned are "Stepping Out Into the Spotlight," June 19-23; "Wonderful World of Disney," June 26-30; "Hollywood Glee Club," July 10-14, and "Broadway Show Revue," July 17-21.

Charlotte's Web

Garfield stage

Garfield/Palouse High School theater will present Charlotte’s Web Friday and Saturday, April 14 and 15, on the Garfield Middle School stage . Show time is 7 p.m. both days. Admission prices are $6 for adults and $4 for students.

Arts Council change

Colfax Arts Council has changed its monthly meeting time to the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at The Center next to the library. The change was made to accommodate members who were unable to attend the morning meetings of the group.

P.E.O.

Chapter AF met April 10 at the Courtyard with Linda Marler as hostess. Sixteen members responded to roll call by giving the make of their first car.

An invitation was read from Chapter FN Pomeroy regarding their upcoming Tea scheduled for May 12. RSVP is due by May 1.

Linda Marler gave a program on World Wars I/II and showed a video on uniforms and costumes of the times.

The next meeting will be April 24 at Cathy White's home with Brenda Kneeshaw assisting.

Maternal grandparents are Jerry and Kellie Jones, Princeton, Idaho, and Kent and Patti Bowder, Marysville, Wash. Baby joins sister Dasie, 6, and brother Bentley, 2.

Palenzuela, Nicodemus, born April 8 at nine pounds, 10 ounces, to Hilary and Jorge Palenzuela, Garfield. Paternal grandparents are Aida and Roberto Cuik, Hollywood, Fla. Maternal grandparents are Karen and Burton Mengers, Mustang, Okla. Baby joins sisters Dalja, 17, Leona, 15, Epiphany, 1, and brother Gabriel, 9.
