Film set work at Garfield

Daniel Vasquez, a member of the art department on the production crew for “The Last Champion,” a movie filming on the Palouse this winter, works in the former Smokin' Papa's restaurant in Garfield. Vasquez and crew will install beams and pillars, modifying the space for shooting. The film is an independent production co-written and directed by Glenn Withrow, a longtime actor (“The Outsiders,” “Beverly Hills Cop II”).
