MICHAEL ROBERT DOUGLAR LOEFFLER

Michael Robert Douglas Loeffler, 24, Odessa, Texas, and formerly of Pullman, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. The family will greet friends at a visitation on Friday, Oct. 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, also at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Berry of Columbia Christian Fellowship in Kennewick officiating.

Born Sept. 7, 1992, in Moscow to Scott Weaver and Nikki Loeffler, he grew up in the Moscow-Pullman area and attended the local schools. He graduated from the Insight School of Washington, an online high school, with the class of 2011. He met Katherine Freeman while attending Pullman High School, and they started dating in 2008 and were married in Lubbock, Oct. 11, 2013.

They moved to Texas in March of 2013 so he could pursue a career in plumbing. He was working as an apprentice plumber at the time of his death.

Their daughter, Natasha, was born in July of 2014.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and off-road driving.

Surviving are his wife, Katherine, and daughter, Natasha, Pullman; father, Scott Weaver of Coeur d’Alene; mother Nikki Loeffler of Kennewick; brothers Tyler and Dillon as well as grandparents Jack (Eileen) Weaver, Guy (Shirley) Richards and Paul (Trish) Loeffler.

Memorial contributions are suggested to go a Giving Forward campaign that has been set up to help the family with expenses (short link here: http://goo.gl/0BYu13) Donations can also be made to a local animal shelter.

WILMA GRACE OUSLEY

Wilma Grace Ousley, 96, former long-time resident of the Colfax area, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, in Longview where she resided for several years. She and her late husband, Maurice Ousley, farmed for many years along Highway 26 west of the Palouse Empire Fairgrounds.

Surviving are a daughter, Martha Ousley Bridges, Longview, and two nieces, Mary Ousley of Kirkland and Nancy Ousley of Seattle. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Ousley of Colfax, in 2015.

The family plans to conduct a graveside service next spring. They suggest memorial gifts be made in her name to a local humane society.
