Pittmann installed as state regent

Julie Pittmann of Rosalia received confirmation and installation as the State Regent of Washington 2016-2018 at The Daughters of the American Revolution 125th anniversary of their annual Continental Congress in the nation's capital June 15-19.

A 17-year member of Esther Reed Chapter of Spokane, her state project is to create the first memorial to women veterans in Washington State.

The memorial bench will be placed at the Washington State Veterans' Cemetery near Medical Lake.
