Dusty duo attends NBA game

Brian and Angela Broeckel drove to Portland Friday to spend Mother’s Day weekend with daughter Alex BeDell and Kyle Zartman. They attended an NBA playoff game between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Golden State Warriors. They returned home Sunday.

Denise Broeckel Kendall spent Mother’s Day weekend with her father Oscar Broeckel.

Richard Alexander, Tacoma, was a surprise guest to the home of Carmen and Blake Heaton. He arrived Friday to surprise his mother, Emily Alexander, who is living with the Heatons. Sunday, Tru and Range Heaton, accompanied by their parents Katy and Justin, came to celebrate Mother’s Day with the Heatons.

Lauren Moore, daughter of Steve and Carol Moore, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Language Sciences from the WSU campus in Spokane Saturday. Family and friends, including her brother Kurt and his friend Tara, Seattle, attended the ceremony.

David and Phyllis Stueckle celebrated Mother’s Day by having lunch at the newly-opened café in LaCrosse Sunday.

Linda Hennigar was in Kennewick over the weekend to celebrate grandson Wesley Banks’ 16th birthday and Mother’s Day. The occasions were celebrated with barbecues Saturday and Sunday at the home of Jay and Tami Banks. Jim Moore joined them for dinner both days. Wesley celebrated by taking his dog Ricky for a ride in the pickup with his newly acquired driver’s license.
