Rosalia churches will combine for Good Friday, sunrise service

Rosalia

The Rosalia United Methodist Church and Assembly of God Church will offer combined services next week. All are invited to a Good Friday service at the United Methodist Church, 214 S. Whitman Ave., at 7 p.m. Friday, March 25. Vocalists and instrumentalists from both churches will provide music. Pat Atchison, pastor of Rosalia Assembly of God Church, will offer a meditation. This worship experience tells the story of Jesus' arrest and crucifixion.

The solemnity of Friday will be transformed early Easter morning as the churches celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Easter Sunday observances begin at 6:30 a.m. March 27 with a sunrise service at the Steptoe Battlefield monument. Joan Sulser, pastor of Rosalia United Methodist Church, will provide the message.

Following the sunrise service, participants and friends will gather for a festive breakfast at the Rosalia United Methodist Church.

Separate worship services will continue the celebration at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church and 11 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church, 104 N. Whitman Avenue.

The entire Rosalia community is invited.
