The Eric Appel family joined them for several meals.

Loren Scaggs and Beth Christie, Dusty, and Lorraine Scaggs, Colfax, flew to Las Vegas Dec. 16 where Lorraine stayed with her daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Bill Pitt, while Loren and Beth flew on to New York state.

Loren and Beth visited with Beth’s parents and spent Christmas with Beth’s four children and her six-month-old granddaughter, Kendall, at her daughter’s home in Strykerville, N.Y. They picked up Beth’s car, which had remained in New York when she moved to Dusty, and drove south to Dollywood to spend a few days before proceeding west.

They had good weather all the way, beating the stormy weather that followed them across the United States.

They drove to visit Loren’s brother, Larry and Karen Scaggs, in Tahachapee, Calif.

Bill and Laurie Pitt had brought Lorraine to Larry and Karen’s where they visited for a time before heading home.

They arrived home Dec. 28.

Over New Year’s weekend, Loren and Beth went snowmobiling at Priest Lake.

New Year’s guests at the home of Lucky and Joan Myrick were their sons Mike, Tacoma; Rich and Jannetta, Moses Lake; and Rob, Dusty; Mike Stine, LaCrosse, and Larry and Di Brink, Dusty. On Saturday, they were joined by John and Brandi and Myla Brink, Colfax, for an extended day with family. The Myrick boys returned to their homes Sunday.

Dale and Vicki Broeckel attended an appreciation dinner at Banyan’s in Pullman Saturday evening. Hosts were Justin and Bridget Morgan and Alan and Cathy Morgan for Palouse River Rock employees and their families.
