Sagers fly to Midvale for centennial birthday fete

Dusty

Art and Colene Sager flew to Midvale, Idaho, Saturday to celebrate Colene’s aunt Kathryn Hopper’s 100th birthday. Hopper still lives in the home that became hers as a young bride. This is made possible by the loving care given to her by her oldest son and his wife, Dave and Liz Hopper. It was a day of visiting many cousins who had not been together for some time.

Funeral services for young Erik Binks will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 2, at the LaCrosse School gym. A meal will be provided after the services in the school cafeteria. Anyone who would like to donate a salad for the meal can contact Lois Startin or Wendy Cronrath.

Tom and Doreen Riedner hosted a dinner in their new home last Thursday for Jeanette Nolan of Colfax and Karen Broeckel of Dusty. They were given a tour of the beautiful house as well as a delicious meal.

Neil and Liz Appel hosted a birthday party for their daughter Noemi Sunday. Those attending were Grandpa and Grandma Dick and Helen Appel, cousin Jim Appel, Aunt Miriam and cousins Rachel, Emma and Colette. Noemi will be nine years old on April 28.

Saturday, Karen Broeckel, Dusty, and Gwen Nolan, Colfax, went to Spokane to attend a bridal shower for their niece/cousin Jamie Wieber. The shower was hosted by the bride’s maid of honor and bridesmaids. Wieber is the daughter of Patty Broeckel Wieber and the late Rick Wieber.
