Chili feed, Winterfest slated at St. John

St. John-Endicott 4H and FFA chili feed and silent auction will be Saturday, Oct. 11, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., at the St. John Community Building. Donated items include a Seattle Seahawk football signed by Pete Carrol, decorative wreaths, WSU items, family portraits sessions and Pat Pierce sweet treats. This event will raise money for stock show premiums and livestock support fund.

Admission to the feed will be $5. Residents with items to donate are urged to contact Karen Mills.

The St. John Community Club and The Winterfest Club met Monday to plan upcoming events set for Dec. 6 and 7.

Winterfest will start Dec. 6 with a craft fair in the St. John Fire Station. Contact Vicki Logan. Also, bingo will be at the Library, and crafts for kids at the St. John Inn. A poker walk, egg toss, ugly sweater contest, golden egg toss and Santa at Primeland are also planned.

The kids parade will be at 4 p.m. followed by the regular parade and a huge fireworks display.

The Community Club prime rib dinner and auction will be Dec. 7 with a happy hour at 5 and dinner at 6. Tickets can be bought at Webbs Empire foods. Contact Amanda Webb.
