A graveside inurnment service for Dorothy F. Andres will be today, Thursday, Sept. 18, at 3 p.m. at the Freeze Cemetery with the Rev. Corey Laughary officiating. Mrs. Andres died Saturday, Sept. 13, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab in Lewiston.

Born Aug. 3, 1930, at Kelso, to Hoarace and Daisey (Hackett) Nearing, she married Thomas V. Andres in 1953 and they made their home at Potlatch. She enjoyed being in the woods with her husband as he worked as a logger for Potlatch Forests, Inc.

She loved camping, fishing, cooking and baking.

Survivors include one daughter, Natalie Andres-Roders, Lewiston; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the Freeze Cemetery beautification fund, in care of Sharon Stoll, 6220 Highway 95 N., Potlatch, ID, 83855.

A graveside inurnment service for Wesley David (Dave) Montgomery, 86, Palouse, will be Saturday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m. at the Rock Creek Cemetery south of Potlatch, with the Rev. Kathy Kramer officiating. Potlatch Post #10300 and a United States Army Honor Guard will participate. Mr. Montgomery died Aug. 25, 2014, at the Whitman Hospital and Medical Center in Colfax.

Born Oct. 14, 1927, at Oxford, Ark., to William C. and Callie (Reynolds) Montgomery, he attended schools in Pullman and entered the United States Army Apr. 13, 1946. He was discharged on Apr. 25, 1947.

He returned to Pullman and worked for the Ford Garage in Pullman as a mechanic for 30 years. He married Phyllis Colvin Sept. 22, 1951, at Moscow, and the couple made their home in Palouse.

At the age of 50, Dave purchased his own truck and went long haul driving for Systems Trucking for 13 years until he retired.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Phyllis Montgomery, Palouse; one daughter, Jeannie Barr (Jim), Palouse; one son, James D. Montgomery, Palouse; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Peggy Jean Snover, 81, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at Whitman Health and Rehabilitation Center in Colfax where she lived for the past three months. She had been a resident of Tekoa since 1980.

In accordance with her request, she will be cremated and a service will not be held.

Born Dec. 5, 1932, at White Bluff, Tenn., to Jacob and Robbie Hazelwood Deaton, she attended schools at White Bluff and graduated from high school there. She lived in California for many years, and worked as a sales clerk in a retail clothing store. She had also worked in a plant and flower shop.

After she moved to Tekoa she worked for many years as a cook at the Tekoa Care Center. She married Johnnie Snover in September of 1982, and they made their home in Tekoa. She lived in the Tekoa Retirement Apartments for the past four years.

She was an excellent cook and enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Survivors include her husband Johnnie at Tekoa; her daughter, Linda (Jerry) Babb of Tekoa; her son, John Stone of Montana, and four grandchildren.
