Last Saturday night about eight o’clock fire destroyed the foundry building and all its contents. It is not known how the fire originated. They were casting in the afternoon of that day, and it is supposed that a spark of the moulten lead started the conflagration. They were only insured for $300, while the loss will run up in the thousands.

Judge Pattison acted the Good Samaritan last Saturday by allowing Jonathan Johnson and Maria Hickman to go to housekeeping. The newly married couple live a few miles from Almota. We wish you lots of joy in the new...
