Ice cream social set July 23 at Tekoa

The annual Tekoa Community Ice Cream Social will be at Tekoa High School Wednesday, July 23, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Sponsored by Tekoa Community Church, all are welcome for vanilla ice cream and a range of toppings, highlighted by fresh strawberries.

Tables will be set outside and in the multipurpose room of the high school.

“I think the theme is ‘beat the heat,’ said volunteer Hal Whitman.

This will be the second year that the new ice cream makers will go on line. For many years volunteers used a custom machine built by Gene Krell.

It remains in the church basement.
