CASA program needs volunteers

 


Whitman County’s Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program needs volunteers. There are currently 10 CASA volunteers in the county and the organization needs to add five more, according to Jill Whelchel Wahl, program manager.

CASA volunteers are appointed by the court to advocate for a child involved in the foster care system.

“No special background is required to become a CASA Volunteer. We’re looking for people who have the desire and commitment to make a difference,” Wahl continued.
